Boehringer Ingelheim Senior Legal Counsel in Vienna, Austria
The position
As of now we are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Regional Business Law Team in the Regional Center Vienna (RCV). This exciting role will enable pro-active and strategic legal support for our Human Pharma Business in the whole Region and foster a risk-based approach when closely collaborating with our Stakeholders.
Tasks & responsibilities
provide pro-active, practical, pragmatic, timely, sound and solution-oriented legal advice and counsel to our Human Pharma business partners within the Region
manage legal risks, while still focusing on opportunities to help grow the business, in the respective area of responsibility arising from, inter alia, contractual liability, Antitrust, Pharmaceutical/Commercial Laws and Regulations
actively maintain close and trusted working relationships with relevant stakeholders including Senior Management
provide strategic legal advice in structuring, drafting, reviewing, negotiating and applying contracts, as well as updating contract templates
monitor legal developments; ensure that the Business Function considers legal trends and risks in their business strategy and steer external lawyers
you will be part of the Regional Business Law Team and participate in legal team projects
Requirements
Master’s degree and/or Diploma in law from a European Country
Multi-year experience in a global professional or corporate environment in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry including several years as in-house legal counsel
Substantial knowledge in the beforehand mentioned legal areas
Exceptional communication skills and skills in collaboration and teamwork
Strategic and innovative thinking, strong business orientation while cultivating an empathic and inclusive mindset and “can-do” attitude, agility and emotional maturity
Fluency in English is mandatory, German proficiency is strongly preferred

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 60.212,18 (full time). For the actual salary the industry benchmark as well as your qualifications and experiences are taken into consideration.
