Boehringer Ingelheim Research Laboratory Scientist: Cancer Research in Vienna, Austria
The position
We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Scientist to join our Cancer Research team in Vienna.
This position will strengthen our multi-disciplinary research team focused on developing innovative drugs for cancer patients. It offers a unique possibility to directly contribute at the forefront of drug discovery and to have an immediate impact on the development of novel cancer therapies.

This is a full-time, fixed term contract for 2 years.
Tasks & responsibilities
Independent planning, coordination, execution, analysis and documentation of in vitro experiments in the area of molecular and cellular biology
Continuous design, development and optimization of in vitro methods and techniques
Supporting the discovery and characterization of novel cancer drugs
Working in a multi-disciplinary team and sharing results
Requirements
Relevant education (e.g.: Master’s degree in biology or a related discipline) and 1 year or more laboratory experience
Of advantage is hands-on experience with in vitro cell viability assays (2D/3D), cellular assays, protein-biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, as well as a good understanding of current concepts in cancer research
Strong team spirit, communication and presentation skills, good data management skills, self-organized and independent working style, creative thinking, and an agile mindset
English as a working language & solid command of German

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 46.305 (full time). For the actual salary the industry benchmark as well as your qualifications and experiences are taken into consideration.
