Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare all assigned records, calculations, and documentation.

  • Read and follow schedules, procedures, and documents.

  • Assist in training other employees in an area of responsibility as assigned.

  • Assist staff in developing new procedures and methods or improving old ones.

  • Use and understand computer assisted data entry, and process logic controllers (PLCs) including SAP.

  • Follow safety precautions and procedures.

  • Perform, independently, transactions into the FedEx or other shipping system.

  • Receive, unload trucks, identify, count, incoming materials intended for production or distribution and MRO items.

  • Independently count, transfer, and locate production materials, and finished goods throughout the warehouse.

  • Perform routine inventory counts, inclusive of required data entry into the ERP System.

  • Obtain a Class “E” or CDL chauffeur's license. (As requested)

  • Independently identify the need for and perform housekeeping throughout the receiving, warehouse, and distribution areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures.

  • Independently Bar Coding equipment in order to perform assigned computerized inventory transactions.

  • Independently use and understand computer assisted data entry as well as perform computer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Independently operate the Microsoft Office suite, in particular the following modules: Excel, Word, and E-Mail, as they relate to the employees responsibilities.

  • Independently operate the companies ERP System” particularly as it relates to the following functions: Transfers, Finish Goods Distribution, and General Inventory Management.

  • Must be competent and reliable driver of motor vehicles, including warehouse fork lifts, Pallet Transfer Machine and man-up lifts, and able to obtain a CDL license.

  • Able to identify freight damage during loading and unloading

  • Able to sustain heavy lifting over extended periods of time.

  • Working knowledge of all product names, incoming materials, and storage locations.

  • Operate Floor Scrubber, Floor Sweeper and other housekeeping duties.Perform duties associated with receiving process to include use of handheld scanner.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Assist higher grade operators under supervision

  • May perform jobs of the lower grades as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalentrequired

  • Communication Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to train others.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Mathematical Skills

  • Perform calculations and conversions involving weights, volumes, and percentages.

  • Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to use basic logic to identify and solve problems

  • Knowledge and skill to recognize creative ideas that add value and are able to be implemented to improve efficiency, effectiveness and reduce complexity for department

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Demonstrated understanding of systems, equipment, and processes

  • Forklift certified and able to maintain annual certification

  • Computer Skills

  • Experience with Windows Operating System.

  • Proficient in typing ability

  • Comprehension and application

  • Proficient reading, comprehension and application skills toward a diverse set complicated tasks.
