Medical Writer Publications

The Medical Writer will support the development and maintenance of content, including writing and formatting, documentation, reporting and metrics.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Production of new global scientific content as defined by the Scientific Communications Manager and in accordance with the Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) Style Guide, approved templates and Standard Operating Procedure for the creation of content.

  • Update the content according to the direction received from the Scientific Communications Manager and the Medical Advisors

  • Adjust content according to the feedback received during review cycles.

  • Obtain final approval from Corporate.

  • Perform peer reviews for style and accuracy and for continuous improvement purposes.

Requirements

  • Experienced Medical Writer (3-5 years), with a scientific background and degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or Masters), at least 3 years producing content as a writer, with knowledge of IT and digital solutions.

  • Excellent medical writing skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to manage and prioritize multiple, detailed activities, results-orientated with fast and focused execution.

  • Good communication, coordination and time management skills.

  • Ability to work within a team or across multiple teams (including remotely) as well as independently.

  • luent in oral and written English with high level of communication skills, values teamwork and collaboration, diversity and inclusion, and innovation

  • Prior experience working in any of the therapeutic areas of Cardiovascular, Metabolism, Respiratory (CMR), Inflammation, Immunology, Retinopathy, Central Nervous System, and Oncology would be advantageous.
