Description:

To manage the day-to-day distribution activities of delivering excellence to all BIAH customers and internal partners. Includes developing and implementing solutions to drive operational and financial improvements within the US Commercial Operations warehouse/distribution network. The responsibilities include planning, organizing, and executing order fulfillment activities across various distribution sites. Work closely with the entire Global and US Supply Chain team to insure objectives are supported and met.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring reliable andcost-effective distribution of finished goods with logisticspartners.

  • Assists in the development and monitoring of alldistribution expenses, and processes monthly invoices. Review and placepurchase orders for warehouse/shipping supplies.

  • Serve as a resource to Customer Care to handleescalated client related issues and concerns. Collaborate with team(s) on dayto day items such as service related questions, fulfillment inquiries and othercustomer generated requests.

  • Create and monitor Key Performance Indicators(KPI’s) assuring “best in class” performance. Provides feedback andsolutions for improvement, if required, to include clear and actionablemeasures to improve customer satisfaction and reliability.

  • Documentation Management—ensures that alldistribution documentation is completed per related SOPs and the relatedcomputer transactions are complete and accurate. Also, that alldocumentation files are maintained according to SOPs and documentationmanagement requirements.

  • Manages/leads daily work activities, whichinclude scheduling, personnel training (cGMP, quality, safety, and technical),conducting safety programs, maintaining inventory accuracy, equipmentmaintenance, and security enforcement.

  • Responsible for conducting all distributionoperations under the current and approved cGMP guidelines.

  • Performs all Company business in accordance withall regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA, DOT, EPA, etc.) and Company policy andprocedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediatelyreported to management.

  • Demonstrate high ethical and professionalstandards with all business contacts in order to maintain BIVI’s excellentreputation in the community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in Warehouse Operations preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on coaching and teamwork skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and aptitude to train and utilize workers in a changing and multi-faceted, fast paced environment

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of management experience in a Logistics function (prefer warehousing experience in a pharmaceutical environment) preferred

  • Experience managing change and implementation of new processes to improve efficient operations

  • APICS Certification preferred

  • Electronic MRP or inventory system proficiency

  • SAP experience

  • Hands on computer knowledge with an inventory management and office suite type systems.

  • Prefer work experience in a union environment.

  • General knowledge of cGMP requirements as they relate to warehousing and distribution functions.
