Compensation Data

Description

As a part of The Automation Academy program at Boehringer Ingelheim ( www.Boehringer-Ingelheim.com ), you will be part of a supportive peer community includes mentorship and a series of accompanying events to enrich their learning experience. The 2 year internal training program will go through various departments in the field of process/building automation, IT, global automation, control/regulation technology, Validation/compliance, cybersecurity and project management. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and gain a broad spectrum of automation technology knowledge/skills. A mentor will accompany and support you in all professional situations. You will also actively work on projects, troubleshooting, and implementation of improvements.

Roles are based in our Ridgefield, CT office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Support GxP/nonGxP automation systems for production, research, development and office facilities. Maintenance and service of building automation, process control, and environmental monitoring systems to keep them in a constant state of operation and compliance. Perform all documentation activities in compliance with FDA/EU and GXP regulations and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with quality in the installation and repair of (GxP) automation systems to maintain a constant state of compliance.

  • Operate the current Computerized Maintenance Management System to perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs and to order parts.

  • Planning and implementation of standardized tasks/changes/projects.

  • Assist in the development and editing of SOP's, technical standards and functional specifications.

  • Timely processing of compliance-relevant tasks, such as PMs,corrective work orders,CAPAs,and events.

  • Timely execution of assigned trainings.

  • Continuous improvement of processes and workflows within the processes and at the interfaces.

  • Constant questioning of the respective status quo regarding the various key figures or processes to improve daily work processes.

Requirements

Two-year technical degree and 5-7 years experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, service and/or repair of automation systems OR 8-10 years relevant experience in either HVAC, electronics, electrical, or information technology.

  • Troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge of HVAC, electronics, electrical or information technology

  • Knowledge of automation systems preferred

  • Strong technical understanding

  • Experience in MS-Office and IT skills

Willingness to learn, good comprehension, and team skills

High reliability and conscientious work. The corresponding technical training in the existing automation processes and systems takes place at RDG as training on the job or as part of a BI-internal training program.

Eligibility Requirements :

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
