Boehringer Ingelheim Sustainability Manager in Milan, Italy
THE POSITION
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Manager, responsible for leading and managing our company's sustainability program SD4G (Strategy - Sustainable Development for Generations) in Italy. This role involves developing and locally implementing sustainability strategies together with the respective businesses and functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability best practices and the ability to drive change within the organization. The position is located in our Milano Office.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Offering strategic input to the Managing Directors and relevant stakeholders in defining SD4G priorities, change management and operational direction in alignment with the overall global SD4G strategy.
Define overarching priorities and hold local teams accountable to set roadmaps and deliver results based on targets.
Responsible for ensuring sustainability is embedded in the core business operations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure that sustainability is embedded in the business planning processes. Analyzing impact outcomes, synergies and identifying best practices.
Ensuring data necessary for internal and external ESG reporting is consolidated, audited, validated, and submitted in a timely manner to the global sustainability team.
Develop change management and communication plan for sustainability to amplify awareness. Inspire sustainable behavior and mindset.
Partner/influence by acting as a primary point of contact for the global sustainability team.
Requirements
Master's degree in in Business Administration, life sciences or other discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of sustainability best practices and legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills (English and local language).
Proven influencing skills towards senior management and stakeholders.
Project management and cross functional management skills.
Experience in data analysis, consolidation, auditing, and reporting would be a plus
