THE POSITION

As a Medical Advisor Pulmonary Fibrosis you will be a reference point for scientific advice for assigned product, for Medical Department, Business and other relevant internal functions and for external parties and institutions, by fostering, cultivating and maintaining credible and unbiased medical and scientific dialogue, in order to ensure an effective presence in the company’s therapeutic area. In this role you will implement scientific initiatives, leading the development of assigned molecule in order to understand current and future positioning for the new drugs, meeting the timelines and costs and in compliance with Company's standards and the legislation in force.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing, market access, patient advocacy relations and government affairs providing medical-scientific support, to drive strategic positioning, differentiation and early key strategic messages

  • Build and reinforce partnership with KOLs and scientific societies and collect their insights to understand drug positioning, to ensure the delivery of accurate, complete, and unbiased information and to develop scientific initiatives within the medical community

  • Collaborate with clinical and development team, to ensure support in executing trials falling within area of competence in order to assure scientific validity of results, as well as compliance with plans and ensure support for publication of national Trial results in scientific journal

  • Support in providing LRA with the scientific advice needed to draw up the documentation required by Regulatory Authorities

  • Ensure collaboration with Corporate Medical Affairs to define communication strategies and develop medical/scientific initiatives to ensure correct and compliant scientific communication for the therapeutic area of competence

  • Deliver internal training

  • Ensure that all interactions and engagements activities are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with BI values

Requirements

  • Scientific degree (MD as preferred, Pharmacy, CTF, Biology or similar )

  • Previous experience with new drugs in pre-launch phase and in pneumonology or rheumatology are an advantage

  • At least 3 years of experience in pharma industry in similar roles

  • Fluency in English and Italian

  • Knowledge of clinical research, clinical trial management (regulations and GCP),

  • Highly customer focused with an awareness of the importance of business results

  • Relevant communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong leadership, proactive attitude, growth and open mindset

  • Agility, emotional intelligence, trustworthiness and accountability

  • Strong Microsoft Office user
