Boehringer Ingelheim Head of SD On-Site Logistics Germany in Ingelheim, Germany

The Position

As the "Head of SD On-Site Logistics Germany", you ensure both the internal and external provision of FM services in various regions, while also paying attention to comprehensive service management. In addition, you develop FM concepts according to region-specific guidelines and requirements and participate in projects to further develop and advance our technical facilities and procedural processes.

This position can be filled in Ingelheim or Biberach.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your role as "Head of SD On-Site Logistics Germany", you lead both disciplinarily and technically the provision, monitoring, and optimization of tailored, economical, and standardized FM services in your region, always considering legal requirements and internal guidelines.

  • You take on personnel responsibility for your team, plan personnel and deployment times, and also pay attention to topics such as salary development, implementation of operational talent management, and succession/stand-in planning.

  • In addition, you budget and control primary and secondary costs as well as personnel numbers and ensure compliance with technical and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Thanks to your expertise, you ensure that the performance of suppliers and internal service providers is continuously developed through effective solutions and that both regional and global FM goals in the region and at the locations are coherent.

  • Your area of responsibility also includes the collection and processing of FM data from locations for process analysis, process optimization, and the strategic further development of processes, possibly including benchmarking information.

  • Ultimately, you monitor the continuous improvement of internal and external service provision by obtaining feedback from locations and users.

Requirements

  • Completed Master's degree with several years of professional experience in Facility Management, Logistics, or similar; some of those years in a leadership position

  • Versatile methodological knowledge and excellent understanding of the requirements of all Business Units and local and regional guidelines through detailed knowledge of processes in chemical and pharmaceutical production

  • Strong analytical skills and data modeling competencies as well as excellent project management skills

  • Excellent service and customer orientation coupled with experience in change management and strategy execution

  • Multicultural awareness and ability to work virtually with project teams and initiative to improve tools and resources

  • Very good written and oral communication skills in English and another language
