Boehringer Ingelheim Compliance Program Manager in Ingelheim, Germany

The Position

The Compliance Program Manager sits at the heart of Boehringer Ingelheim’s commitment to ethics and integrity. Under the guidance of the Head of CoE Compliance Program you will play a pivotal role in shaping the ethical fabric of our organization.

Your primary responsibility will be the development, design, and delivery of digital training content for Compliance & Integrity. This role is not just about creating content, but also about ensuring its effective delivery and continuous improvement.

You will be in close collaboration with our Legal and Compliance Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Corporate Compliance & Integrity Officers, providing them with support during the design and optimization stages of our compliance programs.

Beyond these tasks, you will also be entrusted with the governance, implementation, tracking, and enhancement of our Compliance & Integrity Trainings. This is a role that requires a proactive approach and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In this role, you will define, implement, and continuously improve selected Compliance Program elements: Organization & Governance, Training, Standards & Written Guidelines, Communication & Awareness, Reporting and Program Performance Evaluation.

  • You will spearhead the development and ongoing improvement of Compliance communications, aligning with the overarching Boehringer Ingelheim strategy. This will involve developing an editorial and annual Communication Plan to ensure consistent global messaging.

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, other departments icine, and agencies, you will ensure that Compliance projects align with directives from the Head of the CoE Global Compliance Program.

  • You will drive the implementation of Compliance standards and written guidancences and ensure global communication as well as consistent assignments. You will also act as the Legal & Compliance representative for the RMS Panel.

  • Also, you will monitor local program implementation of global standards and local program coordination. As an expert, you will identify themes, risks, and opportunities across (R)OPUs and propose solutions for global efficiencies and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with legal or economical background or similar education

  • Proven experience in a global professional or corporate environment preferably in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or Legal/Compliance

  • Very good experience in the conceptual set up of trainings and training concepts in particular in the area of adult learnings

  • Very good experience in Compliance and knowledge of Compliance Management Systems and Program elements as well as comprehensive knowledge of Boehringer Ingelheim´s strategy

  • Excellent knowledge of the regulatory environment in one country and overview of common basic principles in the international regulatory environment

  • Experience in leading projects, also in technology/reporting implementations with data impact to different business functions within an organization

  • Ability to translate global strategies into operational plans

  • Strategic and innovative mindset

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English, German is highly beneficial
