The Professional Services Veterinarian will participate in the continuous technical training activities of a district’s field sales personnel. In addition, educating Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health ("BI AH" or the "Company") customers on our products in order to drive increased sales is another key responsibility. This is done by working regularly with our Field Sales Representatives while calling on our customers and holding learning events in the local practice communities. This role will be required to travel on a daily basis within territories (30-60% overnight travel).

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The primary activity will be providing in-clinic customer facing technical and professional support with our sales representatives.

  • The position’s activities will primarily be within a several state area, but national responsibilities (training lectures at national and regional meetings) will also occur.

  • Creation of technical bulletins and PowerPoint presentations in response to sales and marketing needs will be required, thus clear and concise writing skills are also necessary.

  • Proficiency with, or an aptitude for, learning how to create and update PowerPoint presentations is necessary .

  • The Field Vet Services Manager will work with assigned Colleges of Veterinary Medicine providing technical support and monitoring the University Product Program. They will contact key faculty members or key opinion leaders to inform, update, and consult with them about BI AH products.

  • Develop and grow relationships with key customers to promote a partnership between BI AH and the customer above and beyond product offerings.

Requirements:

  • DVM or VMD Degree

  • Five years clinical experience preferred (or other equivalent experience)

  • Companion animal experience is strongly preferred

  • Driven to excel

  • Mastery of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Strong verbal communication skills (group)

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Demonstrated Experience creating and delivering technical presentations to various size audiences

  • Excellent work ethic

  • Team player

  • Willingness to travel daily within territories is a must.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
