Participate in all functions of packaging, including, but not limited to: maintaining and tracking adherence to departmental operating schedule in coordination with production planning; label generation; freeze dried labeling; documentation and batch processing of all labeling operations; printed component inventory management; printing of all freeze dried labels; acting back up batch processing.As an employee of Boehringer Ingelheim, you will actively contribute to the discovery, development and delivery of our products to our patients and customers. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Print freeze dried, killed, autogenous and frozen Labels and prepare all preprinted materials for packaging.

  • Document and process oracle batches for all label printing and ampoule labeling. Documentation for all processes must be completed concurrently for all processes and with minimal errors. Documentation must be completed with regulatory and company compliance.

  • Coordinate with Production Planning the daily and weekly schedule changes. Inventory management of the packaging materials for over 250 products in 10+ different languages.

  • Originate and coordinate paperwork for incoming product from the Athens facility. Coordinate and oversee product shipments from Packaging to Distribution.

  • Monitoring and ordering of departmental supplies including non-inventory supplies for the packaging floor, CPA’S, PO’S , coordinate vendor service agreements.

  • Backup for batch processing and/or document review.

  • Participation in special projects as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in laboratory or packaging coordinator position with degree from an accredited institution, or

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in laboratory or packaging coordinator position without degree.

  • Previous packaging job experience.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to work independently.

  • Must have moderate skills in basic computer operation; working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Oracle (or comparable inventory management system.

  • Must have strong basic mathematical skills.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and carry it 50ft.

  • Must be able to perform all physical aspects of job, including but not limited to: pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, stooping, twisting and turning.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are important.

  • Must be flexible and be a good problem solver.

  • Must be mechanically inclined.
