Boehringer Ingelheim MES Master Batch Record Designer Co-Op - PART- TIME in Fremont, California

* This is an onsite Part-time opportunity in Fremont, CA *

* $20-29/hour range *

Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Student Co-Op to join our Manufacturing Systems department located at our Fremont, CA facility. As a Co-Op, you will be responsible for designing electronic batch records for cell culture, purification and fill finish operations using Korber PAS-X software. In this position, you are expected to deliver high quality master batch records to manufacture lifesaving products. In addition, you will update and create documents such as standard operating procedures, work instructions and design specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shadow manufacturing operators to learn about various manufacturing processes

  • Design electronic batch records for cell culture, purification and fill finish operations using Korber PAS-X

  • Support manufacturing operations by delivering consistent high quality electronic batch records

  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide status updates on project deliverables

  • Lead small projects and implements process improvements

Requirements

  • Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing

  • Student must be enrolled at a college or university for the duration of the co-op

  • Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred

  • Major or minor in related field of co-op

  • Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university

  • Graduate and Advanced Degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Demonstrates ability to lead small cross-functional projects

  • Able to work independently and can communicate clearly

  • Must have basic programming knowledge

  • Pharmaceuticals manufacturing process knowledge is a plus

  • MES experience is a plus
