The Associate Director, Veterinary Technical Marketing of Vaccines (AD-VTM), will manage the Key Opinion Leader Strategy as directed by the Director, VTM, and the Executive Director, VPS. Management of the strategy will include coordination of the contracts for over 60 KOLs in vaccines, vaccine development, infectious diseases, and practice management. The AD-VTM will align strategically with the Directors of BI vaccine products and provide technical guidance and support material to the Marketing team in support of the Field Sales Team and the VPS-PSV team. Support of the Corporate Account strategy will be via alignment with the Director, Corporate Accounts (Sales), and will align with the BI Marketing strategies in support of Corporate Veterinary Entities. Professional Service Organization support will require the AD-VTM to align with the Field Veterinary Regional Directors and the Marketing product managers. The AD-VTM will coordinate communications, training and support for the PSVs and TMs as directed by the business strategy. The AD-VTM will coordinate and manage the technical training in support of all product franchise lines as directed by the Director, Veterinary Technical Marketing, and Head, Pet Vet Training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Associate Director (AD), Veterinary Technical Marketing (VTM), is responsible for FIVE primary areas of focus within the Veterinary Professional Services Group.

  • The AD-VTM will spend approximately 20% of the time on the Technical administration of materials and technical support for the Corporate Accounts team.

  • The AD-VTM will spend 20% of the time providing direct support to Sales and Marketing around vaccines, vaccine development, and infectious diseases. This support include the development and management of the veterinary technical marketing vaccines plan in alignment with the BI sales/marketing plan to assure maximum distribution and market penetration of BI vaccines products within BIAH guidelines, policies and directives.

  • The AD-VTM will spend 20% of the time on KOL management, and will be responsible for administration of the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Program contracts as directed by the Director, VTM, across Marketing and Veterinary Professional Services.

  • This person will spend 20% of time in management of Professional Organization Support (e.g. AAFP, AAHA, etc) in alignment with BI Marketing and Sales Strategies.

  • The AD-VTM with spend 20% of time on management of the technical training program for the Pet Vet team.


  • A veterinary degree (DVM, VMD, or equivalent) with a minimum of five years experience in an animal health related position is preferred.

  • Minimum three years industry experience required.

  • Demonstrated strong project management skills

  • Excellent analytical, communication, creativity and organization/planning skills

  • Ability to travel.

  • Valid Driver's License and an acceptable driving record.

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities:

  • Post graduate qualification desirable (board certification), strong technical skills with the ability to absorb science and synthesize marketing-relevant scientific outputs.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
