The Position

Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role you will be responsible for the pharmaceutical development and characterization of intravitreal dosage forms in the context of sustained release and long-acting injectables from pre-Start of Development until international registration.
You will scientifically define and execute project-specific drug product development and characterization work packages.
Furthermore, you will provide technical leadership to technical staff, which may include students, PhD candidates, and Postdocs, where applicable.
In addition, your role encompasses collaborations with external partners as well as supporting research in the development of formulations for intravitreal dosage forms (IVT), Long-Acting Injectables (LAI) and molecules with challenging physicochemical properties.
By leading drug product deliverable teams, you ensure that drug product development is carried out in an efficient and integrated manner across the involved CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls) functions and related disciplines.
The preparation of project documentation incl. submission documents for approval rounds off your profile.
Requirements
Master´s degree in Pharmaceutics or related discipline, preferably with doctoral degree in pharmaceutical technology
Profound theoretical and practical knowledge on sustained-release formulation/process development for IVT and/or LAI
Good knowledge in MS-Office as well as common laboratory software
Team player with high level of self-motivation and strength in leading and working in interdisciplinary teams with strong focus on solution finding within the project timelines
High problem-solving competence for technical and organizational challenges as well as excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English and German for handling a multitude of interfaces, as well as sound technical writing and documentation competencies in English
