Boehringer Ingelheim PostDoc LC-MS in Biberach, Germany

The Position

We are looking for a PostDoc with an excellent background in the field of LC-HRMS and LC-MS/MS quantification. Join our international team of experienced scientists and develop advanced analytical methods with your team for our innovative products within our Analytical Development department in Biberach.

Post Doc: This Position is limited for 2 years.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role you will develop LC-HRMS and LC-MS/MS trace level quantification methods for genotoxic impurities, predominantly nitrosamines.

  • Advantageous would be knowledge in organic chemistry to support our risk assessment with the development and fine tuning of model nitrosation reactions.

  • You will take responsibility for the evaluation and interpretation of the results. You will also summarize the results in the form of reports and presentations for internal purposes and communication with authorities.

  • Furthermore, you will work in a GMP environment and document your analytical experiments in compliance with internal and external requirements, e.g. GMP.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmacy, preferably analytical chemistry

  • Expert knowledge in the development of LC-HRMS, LC-MS/MS with special focus on trace analysis and respective sample preparation techniques

  • Preferable with solid background in organic chemistry

  • Preferable with first experience in GxP-environment

  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative, dynamic industry research & development setting

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset paired with good oral and written communication skills (fluent in English and German)
