Performs the below duties within BioProcess Science with proficiency without supervision:
Is proficient to design and execute experimentation via current documentation guidelines in transition of new R&D projects to operations units in an independent and efficient manner,
Is proficient to lead the Designing, Planning, Scheduling and Execution in development of process(es), optimization of process(es),confirmation of process(es), validation and manufacturing of qualifying and pre-licensing serials,
Is proficient in Communicating work orally, in writing and in presentation format by treating reports and data with a high level of integrity and ethics and will complete roles and responsibilities as a BioProcess Science Core Team Member,
Proficient in the designing of experimentation to improve consistency, stability and yields of product antigens, and
Proficient in training/instructing junior scientists.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Proficient in Leading transfer, scale up or scale down efforts of new processes from Development to operations units in the development, optimization and confirmation from small to large scale.
Lead optimization efforts of current processes by conducting experiments to evaluate different growth parameters, medium components and new equipment.
Proposes, evaluates and implements the setting up, operation and validation of new equipment. Ensures maintenance of equipment and it is kept in operational status. Proficient working with vendors and engineering to secure resources to evaluate instrument or equipment and represent the BioProcess Team.
Proficient leading development and optimization efforts in identifying lyophilization cycles for new products from development to production freeze dryers.
Capable of leading team meetings, lead projects team meetings, lead on-job trainings, assist in career development seminars and other assignments as determined by supervisor. Proposes, gains support with Core Team and/or sub Team, and implements the Design, Schedule, Execution and authoring protocols, conduct experiments and generation of reports and treats all data with a high level of integrity and ethics. Utilization of Statistical software is required.
Bachelos' degree in a relevant scientific discipline required plus eight (8) years relevant experience or, Master's degreein a relevant scientific discipline required plus four (4) years relevant experience or, PhD in a relevant scientific discipline required plus two (2) years relevant experience preferred.
Must have the ability to operate and train colleagues on current instrumentation/equipment and learn then train new technology and concepts.
Concise, clear and accurate reporting of technical data and information.
Must have advanced lab skills with experience with bacteria, viruses, cell culture and down-stream processes.
Proficient in processes related to bioreactor/fermentation, down-stream methods and lyophilization, experienced with formulation of biological products is expected.
Proficiency in troubleshooting problems and take corrective actions to solve the problem and generate results on-time.
Proficient utilizing Statistical software to generate data and can train junior scientists to utilize Statistical software and data analysis.
This position may assist higher level scientists in experimentsl designed to enhance current processes, investigate then resolve problems related to biological products, and to develop new or improve existing production processes.
Working with other team members to provide hands on assistance will be required for both small scale and large scale including, but not limited to, up-stream processes, down stream processes and lyophilization processes.
This individual will also be expected to represent BioProcess Science as a project Core Team member, lead Core Sub-Teams or be part of a Core Sub-Team.

Visual / Hearing Demands :
Color vision and depth perception required.
May require extended hours at a computer screen.
Must be able to read electronic documents of all types.
Hearing acuity required.
