Boehringer Ingelheim (Senior) Clinical Trial Lead (TA Inflammation and CMR) in Biberach, Germany
The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry.
As a strategic function within our organization, you will play a crucial role in devising new concepts in early clinical development to enhance our department's competitive capability. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and support to employees both within and outside the department, ensuring the successful development of early clinical projects. This position holds responsibility for the operational performance of clinical projects, including planning, execution, reporting, and documentation of clinical trials.
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, performing, reporting on, and documenting clinical trials within the allocated time and budget. You will need to consider the relevant issues of the clinical trial, available resources, and ensure compliance with the clinical trial plan, quality standards, and statutory requirements. We are searching for the Therapeutic Areas CMR and Inflammation.
Tasks & responsibilities
You will develop study designs that address relevant clinical trial questions and optimize available resources, plan and prepare trials and documents and as well monitor and report the trial progress (ensuring safety, quality, budget etc.)
Furthermore, you will lead and instruct core trial team, including trial data manager, trial statistician, and trial pharmacokineticist.
Additionally, you will contribute to international project teams as a member of Early Clinical Integration (ECI) Team or the Clinical Pharmacology Biomarker Delivery Team (CPBM DT) in line with the HPBU/CD&O working model.
You will update the trials supervised in the internal company clinical trial management system(s) (timelines, trial status/dates, responsibilities, etc.) while ensuring consistent information.
Additional Tasks & Responsibilities for the Senior role:
You will take on a leadership role within the matrix structure of early clinical development by combining their expertise in One HP priority disease areas, clinical pharmacology, and early clinical development to design competitive study plans.
Additionally, you will advise employees on technical issues both within and outside the department while developing early clinical projects. Simultaneously, they will be responsible for the operational performance of clinical projects.
You will hold a strategic function, utilizing their physician's background to devise new concepts in early clinical development that will enhance the department's competitive capability.
Requirements
Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or related disciplines
Extensive experience in early clinical development or a relevant additional qualification
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address issues independently and proactively
Effective project management skills, ensuring success within established guidelines, timeframes, and budgets
Proactive and persuasive communicator, able to present technical content and engage in sensitive discussions for the benefit of the organization and test subjects' safety
Skilled in presenting complex information to large groups
Fluent in English
Additional requirements for the Senior role:
Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology, or related disciplines) with a MD or PhD or with MD PhD or MD with a science background
Ability to determine when to escalate information and decisions appropriately
Experiences in leading people as well people as non-hierarchical team members and co-workers adept at providing direction and achieving results within a matrix structure that extends beyond departmental boundaries
